World Reconciliation.

World Reconciliation

In the aftermath of the indigenous residential schools, the need for reconciliation has become evident. As we attempt to reconcile our differences in Canada, other reconciliation efforts are happening in other parts of the world.

The technology of war has developed to the point where we are now capable of destroying our entire planet. Thus, world reconciliation has become of paramount importance. Indigenous leaders have become experts of reconciliation and are now leading the world effort.

George McNeish is a Peace Advocate, but not an expert in reconciliation. He urges us to follow indigenous leaders before it is too late. The Ojibwa have the prophecy of the "Eighth Fire." We are now living in the time of the Seventh Fire. If the world reconciles with the principles of the Ojibwa teaching and accepts the guidance of the elders, the Seventh Fire will ignite the Eighth Fire and the planet will be saved.

The prophecies of all religions have similar teachings. All of the Divine Messengers taught us to love one another. It is only the interpretations of humans that has led to war and strife. Bahá'u'lláh said:

"The religion of God is for love and unity; make it not the cause of enmity or dissension."
(Kitáb-i-'Ahd - Book of the Covenant - Tablets of Bahá'u'lláh)

As a PEACE ADVOCATE, I want to see an end to war. I wrote "THE ALTERNATIVE TO WAR" to show that it was possible to solve the differences between North and South without resorting to the most devastating war in USA history. I hope that, when future emotions are raised to the point of violence, this book will be an example of how we can react as adults and not resort to the role of schoolyard bullies.

As mature adults, we need to realize that cooperation yields better results than conflict and destruction. When we work together, we can accomplish more and enjoy a higher standard of living than we can by exploiting labour. A friend we care about will work hard for the team. One who feels he is not valued will do as little as possible to earn his pay cheque.

Read "THE ALTERNATIVE TO WAR" and send me your feedback. Reviews on Amazon are always welcome, good or bad. Just let me know why you liked it. If there is anything you didn't like about it, explain what and why. The adage is true. If you love it, tell others. If not, tell me.

If you would like to read "THE ALTERNATIVE TO WAR" but can't afford the price, let me know. I periodically offer the electronic version for free. Message me on FaceBook with your email and I will notify you of special deals.

In "THE ALTERNATIVE TO WAR" the story of "THE ALTERNATIVE" is retold in a more concise manner.

One person does something different, and the outcome of History is forever altered. Bobby Johnson was against Slavery and struggled to find a way that he could continue to operate his father's plantation without slaves at a time when the rest of the south was using slave labour.

Bobby's best friend, Samson, was his father's slave. Bobby soon had him freed and managed to get him educated, although the laws of the South forbade this.

Although Samson was not physically as strong as other slaves, Bobby soon realized that Samson's strength was in his mind. Bobby was surprised to learn that, while he was struggling to come to terms with the financial feasibility of operating slave free, Samson was working on a plan the free the South.

Set in the southern USA during the antebellum period, many actual events are referred to as these fictional characters race against time to prevent the most devastating war in US history. You will see history unfold in the eyes of both masters and slaves. The belief that slavery was necessary was so entrenched in the minds of both classes that it became formidable obstacle to overcome. Even Bobby had to be convinced that Samson's methods were both financially feasible and sound.

Read "THE ALTERNATIVE TO WAR" and decide. Would it be more believable than actual history where a civilized country causes more damage to itself than any outside force could ever do.

Also included in the new edition, "THE PROGRESS OF PEACE." This commentary brings us up do date concerning the progress (or lack of it) being made towards world peace.
